Here’s Predictions of Matty Johns for State of Origin 4 November Game

Matty Johns laid out their prediction for the upcoming State of Origin Match 1 of 4  November. The trio were convinced of a New South Wales victory, but agree Queensland may put up a better fight than some are expecting.

“I’m going 2-1 New South Wales,” Johns said.

“We’ve said this before, but for mine this will be a really hard-fought tight series.”

“I’m with you, Queensland are going to be a lot better than a lot of people think,” Roach replied.

“When you look at both sides on paper, NSW might be in a bit of trouble if Tedesco doesn’t play.”

“I’ll say 2-1 New South Wales as well,” Hooper added.

“But I think the Wayne Bennet and Mal Meninga factor for the Maroons is going to be huge. Especially with their debutants, it’s a big occasion and they’re going to fly out of the blocks.”

“I’m going to go for Nathan Cleary,” Johns said.

“He’s a young fella who’s had a hell of a season, he has a great temperament, I think he’ll have a great series.”

“I’m going with Jack Wighton, he thrives in these sort of conditions, I think he’s just so tough,” Roach replied.

“I’ll say Luke Keary,” Hooper added.

“He hasn’t played state of origin before. It’s a bit of a final frontier, we’ve seen him win premierships and we’ve seen him play for Australia before, and I think he’s going to want to make a statement in this arena.”
